PRESENTATION

The master degree Materials for Energy and Transport aims to give students a thorough knowledge of the physico-chemical properties and mechanical materials to address fundamental research or applied in order to improve the performance of materials or to to implement new materials with both structural and functional. Particular attention is paid to the characterization and implementation of specific materials for stressed applications in different environments. Learning a strategy of choice materials are also part of the objectives of this training. Experimental, theoretical and multi-scale modeling aspects materials are developed. The materials studied are intended to be used in fields as diverse as nuclear (Fission and Fusion), energy production by new technologies (photovoltaic conversion, fuel cells, hydrogen storage, electrochemical storage, thermoelectricity, etc.) and transportation (aerospace, automobile).

VOCATION

The vocation of the research courses is the preparation for the doctorate then insertion into research institutions on materials (aeronautics, naval, automotive) or new research centers energy technologies (photovoltaic, wind, fuel cells, storage batteries.
